Ex-Davao Police Official admits Davao Death Squad exists

lascanasA retired Davao Police official admitted the existence of Davao Death Squad and was paid by former Davao City Mayor and now President Rodrigo Duterte up to P100, 000 pesos depending on their target.

“Totoo po ang Davao Death Squad. Isa ako sa pasimuno dito,” stated by SPO3 Arturo Lascañas who faced the press with lawyers from Free Legal Assistance Group led by Jose Manuel Diokno.

At the senate inquiry last October 2016, Edgar Matobato tagged Lascañas as the supposed team leader of the group where Lascañas debunked Matobato’s claim.

Lascañas said he wanted, to tell the truth, because of his conscience and his patriotism.

He also called on the members of the Philippine National Police to serve and protect the Filipino people.

-HA
