KAMPO HEN PACIANO RIZAL, Sta Cruz, Laguna (DWDD) – Authorities were able to apprehend to 2 remnants of the Rocky Reyes Group and 1 in the DI watchlist during an anti-illegal drug buy-bust and follow-up operation in San Pablo City Laguna.
Police Provincial Director Police Senior Superintendent Kirby John Brion Kraft reported to CALABARZON Regional Director Police Chief Superintendent Edward Esperat Carranza, the arrest of two (2) remnants of Rocky Reyes Group and a suspect under the DI watchlist in an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation and a subsequent follow-up operation on August 14 in San Pablo City.
PSSupt Kraft identified the suspects as Teodoro Melo y Garcia @ Teody, 55 years old, married, jobless and resident of Brgy. Santa Monica, City, Laguna; Baby Tessie Anas Dela Mar, 35 years old, married, jobless, resident of Brgy. Santa Maria, City, Laguna; and Apollo Emralino y Baldovino @ Ama, 61 years old, married, jobless and resident of Brgy. San Lucas I, City, Laguna, and a remnant of Rocky Reyes (detained) Group.
The suspect Teodoro Melo y Garcia @ Teody who was arrested during the buy-bust operation and the suspect Apollo Emralino y Baldovino @ Ama who was arrested in the follow-up operation are both remnants of the Rocky Reyes Group while suspect Baby Tessie Anas Dela Mar who is in the Directorate of Intelligence watch list was arrested with Teodoro Melo y Garcia @ Teody during the buy-bust operation.
The buy-bust operation was conducted at 4:55 pm at Brgy. San Jose, while the follow-up operation was conducted at 6:30 pm at Brgy. San Lucas I, both in San Pablo City, Laguna on August 14, 2018, by the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and San Pablo City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) led by PSI Marcelino P Male in coordination with the Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 4A.
The buy-bust operation also resulted in the confiscation of ten (10) pieces of heat-sealed transparent sachet containing suspected shabu and a revolver 5.56 with four (4) pieces of live ammunition and the recovery of cash money amounting to Two Thousand Pesos (Php2, 000.00) including the buy-bust money used with serial no.SX619719. During the follow-up operation, one cal. 38 Smith & Wesson, and one Valiente Cal. 22 rifle, two (2) pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected shabu, several drug paraphernalia, one (1) improvised tooter, ten (10) pieces of live ammunition of caliber 38 firearm, eighteen (18) pieces of cal. 22 live ammunition, two (2) pieces of live ammunition of M14 rifle, three (3) pieces of cal. 9mm live ammunition, three (3) pieces of small bundle of plastic sachets, one disposable lighter, one black wallet, cash money amounting to six hundred ninety pesos (Php 690.00) used as buy-bust money, and cal. 38 black holster were confiscated from the suspect.
The suspects together with the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to San Pablo CPS and will be subjected to medical and laboratory examination at the Provincial Crime Laboratory Office located at Kampo Heneral Paciano Rizal in Sta Cruz, Laguna, while pertinent documents are being prepared for filing of appropriate charges against the suspects.
