CLEAN RIDER is a campaign plan of the PNP to ensure the safety of the community especially at thoroughfares from any kinds of criminality involving motorcycles. To be qualified as Clean Rider, one must be a legitimate owner of a motorcycle and not involve in any crime.

“Campaign Clean Rider aims at reducing crimes committed by motorcycle-riding suspects to ensure safety and security of the citizens,” RD PCSUPT Edward E Carranza said.

During the launching, the participants together with the members of PRO CALABARZON signed the Pledge of Commitment after which was followed by the Installation and Tagging of Stickers led by the Regional Director.

For the process on how to secure the ‘CLEAN RIDER’ sticker, owner of the motorcycle shall proceed to their nearest police station and bring the following documents:

  1. Original Receipt/Certificate of Registration of Motorcycle
  2. Deed of Sale if applicable
  3. Driver’s License
  4. 2 Government Issued ID’s

“This campaign clean rider is a very important move of the Philippine National Police. This will be of big help to the Land Transportation Office 4A since road crashes involved a big percentage of motorcycles,”

LTO Chief Operations Clarissa A. Sulit said. Motorcycles with stickers will serve as an indication that motorcycles and supporting documents had passed the inspection and validation.

As such, Clean Riders will be qualified as force multipliers who will be assisting tourist and other riders to their tourists’ destinations and will also be assisting in motorcycle patrols within their areas.

“Baguhin ninyo ang impresyon na kapag nakasakay na sa motor ay mga kriminal at natuturingang Motorcycle-Riding-Suspects. Ipakita ninyo na kayo ay kaagapay ng pulis upang lahat ng criminal na gumagala gamit ang motor ay maituro ninyo,” RD Carranza further added.

The Regional Director also encouraged the riders to organize rider groups in every municipality in order to identify each motorcycle owner and help in eradicating crimes involving Motorcycle-Riding-Suspects.

After the formal launching, the riders joined in the motorcade from Camp Vicente Lim taking the roads of Calamba City, Expressway going to Sta Rosa City back to Camp Vicente Lim. The Launching of Campaign Clean Rider ended with a boodle fight at Covered Court of this camp. Motorcycle Riders are being reminded that securing of stickers is voluntary and free. Motorcycle owners can now avail of the stickers starting today at the Police Stations within their locality. PIO- PRO4A / MCAG
