PNP AVSEGROUP HQ, Pasay City (DWDD) – Fifty (50) members of the Philippine National Police – Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP underwent the Aircraft Counter Hijacking Course at the Headquarters, PNP AVSEGROUP in Pasay City.
According to PNP AVSEGROUP Director Police Chief Supt Dionardo Carlos, the second batch of trainee commenced last June 18, 2018 and would last 45 days.
Among the 50 police trainees are two (2) female police officer.
The aim of the training is to raise the skills and capabilities of the PNP AVSEGROUP personnel in the performance of their mission to secure the countries various airports from any unlawful interference like incidents of shootings, bombings, hijacking and terrorism.
It can be recalled that last March, the first batch of 79 police officer trainees finished their Aircraft Counter Hijacking Course.
C Supt Carlos added that the 79 Police officer belong to the Special Reaction Teams of the Special Operations Unit ang are now deployed in different international airports in the country.
