SUSTAINED OPERATIONS  |  NOLCOM Troops Discover NPA Arms Cache in Aurora

CAMP GEN SERVILLANO AQUINO, Tarlac City (DWDD) – An arms cache of the Communist New People’s Army Terrorist Group (CNTG) was discovered by NOLCOM Army troopers in Purok 7, Brgy. Ditike, San Luis, Aurora at 6:30 early morning of 14 April 2018 (Saturday).

Recovered from the site were one (1) 20-liter container and a backpack containing one (1) M16 Rifle with defaced serial number; two (2) short magazines for M16 with seventeen (17) ammunitions; seven (7) rifle grenades, six (6) ammunitions for M203 grenade launchers and a number of personal belongings.

The discovery of cache was a result of an intelligence-driven combat operation conducted by the 91st Infantry Battalion (91IB) of the 703rd Infantry Brigade (703Bde), under the 7th Infantry Division (7ID), Philippine Army (PA), as they responded to the information provided by the local residents in the area.

NOLCOM units will be relentless in the conduct of Focused Military Operations (FMO) targeting identified Communist Terrorist (CT) lairs to keep them on the run and outbalanced giving them no chance to plan-out limited hostile activities that may undermine the peace and stability within the Northern and Central Luzon area.
