NAVAL BASE HERACLEO ALANO, Sangley Point, Cavite (DWDD) – “Stress is a constant part of our lives. It doesn’t only decrease our productivity, but challenges our health and immunity as well. There are two things that we could do about stress, we can let it consume us, or we learn to control it.”
A very meaningful message from the Commander, Philippine Fleet Rear Admiral Danilo R Rodelas AFP during the Health Care Fair 2018 dubbed as
“Achieving Fleet Excellence by Maintaining Stress-Free and Healthy Lifestyle.”
It was an activity spearheaded by the Fleet Medical Group, Fleet Support Force headed by LCDR Rachelle C. Judilla, (MC), PN. This meaningful event was held last April 4, 2018, at Suarez Hall, Headquarters Fleet Support Force, Naval Base Heracleo Alano, Sangley Point, Cavite City as part of the continuing celebration of the 80th Anniversary of the Philippine Fleet.
The two speakers coming from different fields of expertise shared their knowledge. The conduct of Laughter Yoga was introduced by Mr. Paolo Martin Trinidad, which was enjoyed by the attendees and distinguished guests. On the other hand, the second guess speaker, Mr. Raymond Esperida gave a symposium on “Basic Strength and Conditioning Concepts.”
Different health stations/booths were put up and the attendees enjoyed the different services offered that made the event even more interesting. Examples of these are the following: sampling of products/giveaways from our sponsors, free diamond peel and RF (Radiofrequency) from Dr Rowena Pizarra, functional dry needling for musculoskeletal conditions, eye consultation and refractometry, Random Blood Sugar testing and dietary counseling, screening of Hepatitis C, BMI scan including fat percentage and visceral fat count, massage therapy, anti-rabies vaccination and parasite treatment for pets and “Summer Safety” static display by Philippine Red Cross.
