CAMP RAFAEL CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) welcomed the appointment of Police Director Oscar Albayalde as the next PNP chief.
According to PNP Spokesperson Chief Superintendent John Bulalacao, “the 190,000 strong PNP uniformed and non uniformed personnel will give its full support to his leadership.” “His proven track-record of service assures us that the policies of the government relative to public order and safety will be sustained”.

PNP chief PDG Ronald dela Rosa was to retire last January 21, but President Rodrigo Durterte extended his term up to April 21. Dela Roa is being groomed to hold the helm at the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor).
Albayalde is set to serve as PNP chief for more than one year as he would reach the mandatory retirement age of 56 in November next year. AES / ALS
