RECOVERED  |  Authorities discover abandoned Ecstacy Tablets in Puerto Prinsesa Airport

PUERTO PRINSESA, Plawan (DWDD) – Authorities discovered abandoned “ecstacy tablets” in the comfort room of the Puerto Prinsesa Airport.

According to PNP-Aviation Security Group Director C Supt Dionardo Carlos, a total of eighty (80) tablets with markings of “A8” and “M” inside a plastic bag were discovered inside the airports comfort room and was immediately turned-over to the airport police by CSI Edgar P. Cañete.

The contraband was discovered by CAAP utility worker Antonio A. Socrates Jr inside a litter bin in one of the cubicles of the comfort room at the arrival area.

The PNP-AVSEG immediately coordinated with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency – Palawan to verify via a drug-sniffing K-9 units true nature of the recoverd tablets.

Said contraband was later turned over to the hands of PDEA Palawan, who sent it to PDEA Manila for further laboratory testing. AES / Photos courtesy of CSupt Carlos
