CAMP RAFAEL CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Police Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa confirmed the plan to form ten (10) battalions for the Special Action Force (SAF) following the order of President Rodrigo Duterte to neutralize the communist terrorist New People’s Army (NPA).
According to CPNP Dela Rosa, he was ordered by the president to add an additional five (5) battalions to the current PNP-SAF strength through the conduct of recruitment. This is aside from the initial five battalions they have already completed recruiting.

He added that the additional 5,000 new SAF troopers will be concentrating on the government’s “all- out war” against the communist terrorist NPA and other terrorist group.
The government is serious in its quest to end the terror reign of the NPA and other terrorist group in the country. AES / MCAG
