CAMP BAGONG DIWA, Taguig (DWDD) – The new PNP Special Action Force director assumed his post today, January 23, at the SAF Headquarters, Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City.
Police Director Noli Taliño is to command the elite force and tactical support unit of the Philippine National Police.
Taliño was the deputy director of SAF during the days of Mamasapano Clash in 2015.
After his stint in the elite force, Taliño was assigned as the Director for Human Resource and Doctrine Development in Camp Crame, Quezon City. Taliño was one of 12 PNP high ranking officers reshuffled to the new assignment as PNP Chief, Director General Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa ordered on January 18 the third level reassignment to various units.
Deputy Director General Ramon Apolinario, the Deputy Chief, PNP for Administration graced the event as the guest of honor and speaker. Also, outgoing SAF Director, PDir Benjamin Lusad led the inaguration of ‘Sandiwa’ Grandstand at 1PM today.
Prior to the assumption ceremony, other activities were the Awarding of SAF Shooting Challenge, Closing Ceremony of 1st Quarter 2018, Basic Airborne Course (BAC) Class 52-2017 ceremony, and Parachute Packing Course Class 11-2017 Ceremony.
