CAMP CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) will secure all communities in Albay vacated by residents affected by activities within and around Mount Mayon.
According to Police Chief Superintendent Dionardo Carlos, PNP Public Information Officer, their personnel are conducting patrols to guard against criminal-elements that might take advantage of the situation.
Carlos added that they have also intensified security and assistance in the various evacuation centers together with personnel from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The PNP Regional Director is the co-chairman of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) together with the Regional Director of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), where they are working hand-in-hand in assisting affected residents.
Evacuation centers were established in Legaspi City, Daraga, Camalig , Guinobatan and in Maliliput, Albay. AES/ALS
