SAVORING PEACE  |  NPA Terrorist Group Member Surrender in Kalinga 

CAMP SERVILLANO AQUINO, Tarlac City (DWDD) – A member of the New People’s Army (NPA) in the province of Kalinga voluntarily surrendered to the 50th Infantry Battalion (50IB) of the 5th Infantry Division, Philippine Army at 10:20 in the morning of January 8, 2018.

The former NPA member, Noel Omang Y Mamawag alias Incha, 22 years old, was accompanied by his parents and Barangay Chairman Andrew B Cos-ogon of Bagumbayan, Tabuk City, Kalinga when he surrendered to the NOLCOM troopers.

Alias Incha was designated as member of Squad Tres, MDC, KLG “BAGGAS”, Ilocos-Cordillera Regional Committee (ICRC) of the New People’s Army (NPA) operating in Kalinga and adjacent provinces. He is also listed as # 35 in the Periodic Status Report (PSR) for the 3rd Quarter of 2017.

With these positive developments, NOLCOM Commander, Lt Gen Emmanuel B Salamat AFP extended his gratitude to the parents, Philippine National Police and the  Local Government Unit’s who supported and facilitated the surrender of the former NPA member.
