CAMP BAGONG DIWA, Taguig City (DWDD) – The National Capital Region Police Office, through its Chief, Director Oscar Albayalde, has called on parents to strictly monitor their children against using dangerous firecrackers to welcome the New Year.
According to Albayalde, despite the heightened alert by the NCRPO on the implementation of Executive Order No. 28, Banning the sale and use of firecrackers, they cannot cover every baranggay and household just to enforce the law.
He insisted that the Holiday Season is a time of joy and celebration, especially for children, and what better way to celebrate it by making sure no one gets hurt or dies in using these prohibited firecrackers. They also enjoined the public to immediately report any incident of firecracker-related injuries and the like.
In connection with this, the NCRPO ensured the public that they are doubling their efforts to ensure the Peace and Order situation in Metro Manila until the holidays are over.
Albayalde also warned police personnel who will be involved in cases of indiscriminate firing that they will face the full force of the law. AES/MCAG
