DECLINE  |  PNP notes of lower cases of erring police

CAMP RAFAEL CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) noted a considerable decline in the number recorded cases of police scalawags.

According to PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa, the sharp decline was noted because of the fewer reports and arrest of erring policemen by the Counter Intelligence Task Force (CITF).

The PNP-CITF was formed by PDG Dela Rosa to combat erring/corrupt policemen as part of the internal cleansing by the organization.

Previously, the CITF receives almost 100 complaints against police scalawags a day, but now, it has gone down to a mere 10 complaints.

Gen Dela Rosa added that a lot has changed or previously erring policemen are now more cautious of their action.

Admittedly, Dela Rosa stated that they jumped the gun in launching the campaign against drug, without considering cleaning the organization first.

He insisted that the police force is always ready to respond despite their equally challenging internal cleansing. ALS/AES
