PICC, MANILA (DWDD) – Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Consensus on the Protection and Promotion of the Rights of Migrant Workers has officially been signed on the second day of 31st ASEAN Summit in Philippines. The signing of said consensus allows migrant workers from ASEAN member states get jobs overseas around the globe without worrying about their safety and well-being.
This is also primarily to protect to welfare of ASEAN residents who intend to work abroad. Ten country leaders of ASEAN were all present in the said momentous event for ASEAN.
Afterall, the real essence of having this Summit is to make the lives of the people better and make the entire ASEAN region a substantial and sustainable place to raise family. ASEAN/MCAG
