ROSARIO, Batangas (DWDD) – A Philippine Air Force T41 Trainer Aircraft was forced to emergency land in a sugarcane plantation last Saturday, November 3, 2017, in Sitio Villa Ilayang, Barangay Colongan, Rosario, Batangas.
According to reports, personnel of the Rosario Municipal Police Station, headed by P Supt Mary Crystal Peralta Acop proceeded to Barangay Colongan. At about 5:30 PM of the same date the trainer aircraft took an emergency landing in the sugarcane plantation owned by a certain Rene Arias.
The pilot was identified as Major Gemar Tangacalagan, while his co-pilot was identified as 1Lt Jaimaca Ann Acojedo, both officers sustained injuries all over their body and was rushed by PAF personnel to the Fernando Air Base Hospital in Lipa City.
The said aircraft was still at the safe place and being secured Air Force personnel from Fernando Air Base, Lipa City, Batangas Police Public Safety Company, 4th Maneuver Platoon led by P Insp Elmer Morillo Balboa and personnel of said station.
The Rosario MPS coordinated with the Philippine Air Force relative to investigation on the said incident and requested assistance from the Bureau of Fire Protection-Rosario. AES/ALS
