CAMP RAFAEL CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Philippine National Police (PNP) is not remiss in going after those considered as “Big Fish” in the illegal drug trade.
This was the assurance made PNP Chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa, who said that the PNP, in particular, the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) is looking into the involvement of big personalities in the drug trade, like Cebu Drug Kingpin Peter Lim.
They are looking into the participation of Lim in the illegal trade in the Philippines, who has been named by President Rodrigo Duterte as a major drug supplier in the Visayas.
In a recent survey by the Social Weather Station (SWS), most Filipinos believe that the War on Drugs by the Duterte Administration only targets the poor, because majority of those killed or captured during drug illegal drug operations are small-time runners and are from the poorest part of the community.
