CAMP RAFAEL CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – Personnel of the Caloocan-PNP who will fail or not complete their 30-day re-training course in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig will be facing charges of Neglect of Duty.
This was the statement made by PNP chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa in front of the 1,024 members of the Caloocan-PNP that started their re-training yesterday.
Dela Rosa made it clear that police officers undergoing re-training must not consider it as a punishment, but a chance the PNP is giving them to improve themselves as public servants.
They must take this opportunity to rehash their skills and knowledge as better police personnel.
He added that the training is composed of lectures and practical exercises that would center on values formation, aside from the review of proper police operational procedures.
Aside from the police personnel that were involved in the controversial cases like the killing of Kian Delos Santos and Carl Angelo Arnaiz, and those that were involved in the illegal entry and robbery of a private residence, Dela Rosa remains proud of the Caloocan-PNP because of their over-all accomplishment on the “War on Drugs.”
But, the Chief, PNP warned those who will not be able to finish or fail the re-training that they will be filed appropriate charges and they will be dismissed from the service. AES/ALS
