UPDATE  |  Stranded Bus Passenger in Pitogo rescued

GUMACA, Quezon Province (DWDD) – Authorities were able to rescue twenty-two (22) bus passengers initially reported trapped in rising flood waters in Baranggay Biga, Pitogo, Quezon Province.

According to MGen Rhoderick Parayno, Commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, joint elements of the Philippine National Police-Pitogo, 85th Infantry Battalion, and personnel from the Pitogo Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (MDRRMC) rescued the passengers of DLTB Bus with plate number  UYB 365 who were all forced to climb the roof of the vehicle.

Meanwhile, electric services in the area remains cut-off while the Maharlika Highway in Calauag, Quezon is still impassable to all vehicles. Clearing operations is still on-going. AES / ALS
