ON ALERT  |  PNP mobilizes SAR in TD Maring affected areas

CAMP RAFAEL CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Philippine National Police under Officer-in-Charge, PNP Police Deputy Director General Ramon C Apolinario, has alerted Police Regional Offices in areas affected by heavy rains spawned by Tropical Depression “Maring” in Luzon to mobilize their respective search and rescue (SAR) units for possible contingencies.

At the PNP National Headquarters, the PNP Critical Incident Management Committee (CIMC) chaired by Police Deputy Director General Fernando H. Mendez Jr. PNP Deputy Chief for Operations, thru the PNP Sub-Committee on Disaster Management (SCDM) chaired by Police Director Noel Constantino, The Director for Police Community Relations (DPCR), is constantly monitoring the situation in areas affected by the weather disturbance to activate their respective disaster response units for possible deployment.

Despite the declaration of suspension of government office in the National Capital Region, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Central Luzon, PNP alert units in these regions will remain on duty to respond to any contingency. PNP-PIO/MCAG
