TALIPAO, Sulu (DWDD) – At 9am today, 11 August 2017, unfamiliar looking individuals were seen by the residents of Brgy Kagay, Talipao, Sulu.
Immediately, the matter was reported to the Brgy Captain of Brgy Kagay.
According to BGen Cirilito Sobejana, Commander of Joint Task force – Sulu, the 3 were later on known to be kidnap vicitms identified as: 1) JASON PON VAILOCES, 2) JOEL DE MESA ADANZA, 3) FILEMON FRANCISCO GUERRERO JR, all residents of Brgy Tumaga, Zamboanga City who were forcibly taken at their construction barracks located at the Provincial Sports Complex, Brgy Bangkal, Patikul, Sulu on 15 July 2017.
The Brgy Captain called the attention of Talipao Police Station and informed about the presence of the three in his Brgy. The Talipao PNP together with the elements of 21st Infanrty Battalion and 2nd Special Forces Battalion proceeded to the area and thereafter brought the three victims to the Police Provincial Office of Sulu for proper disposition.
The victims revealed that because of continuous military operations in the area, they moved together with their Abu Sayyaf abductors led by Almujer Yadah from one place to another pushing them away from the bandits stronghold where they don’t avail community support anymore like provision of food, etc.
Yesterday afternoon at around 4pm, while their abductors were praying, the kidnap victims find an opportunity to escape. They ran for their lives until they reached a community in Brgy Kagay early this morning where the locals helped them and turned them over to the authorities.
They will undergo medical examination and custodial debriefing at Hqs Joint Task Force Sulu, Camp Bautista, Busbus, Jolo, Sulu. After completing the mandatory procedures, they will be airlifted to Zamboanga City to join their families and loveones. JTF Sulu / 21IB / MCAG
