CAMP GEN EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – Troops from the 28th Infantry Battalion were able to arrest four (4) suspected members of the New People’s Army (NPA) who tried to conduct destabilization operations in the guise of a rally.
In an interview by DWDD with Lt. Col. Ramon Zagala, Commander, 28th Infantry Battalion, they received reports of NPA members coming down from their mountain lair to join anti-government rallies.
The suspects, one of which is a minor, is currently under the custody of the local authorities.
Among those recovered from the suspects were high powered rifles, improvised explosive devices, various ammunition and subversive documents. AES / MCAG
