BIG LOSSES | Drug Operations in the country suffered major setback

CAMP CRAME, Quezon City (DWDD) – Drug traffickers in the country suffered big losses amounting to P5 Billion in connection with the Duterte administrations anti-illegal drug camaign.
This was the content of Philippine National Police Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa’s speech during the 116th Police Service Anniversary held in Camp Crame in Quezon City.

The said amount equates to 85,000 kilos of illegal drugs that was taken out of the illegal drugs market, based on current street value of P5,000 per gram.

The PNP has also registered 1.3 million drug surrenderees, who previously consume 200 grams of shabu everyday or a total of 85,000 kilo of illegal drugs were taken off the streets. The authorities were able to arrest 86,000 drug personalities, 3,200 were neutralized in anti-drug operations, while 65 police personnel were killed during these operations. AES / ALS / MCAG
