PHNOM PENH, Kingdom of Cambodia (DWDD) – President Rodrigo Roa Duterte arrived at the Phnom Penh International Airport to commence his second visit to Cambodia, this time to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF) on ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations).
He was welcomed in the airport by the Philippine Embassy officials led by Ambassador Christopher Montero. From the Cambodia side, the President was greeted by Minister of Information Khieu Kanharith.
President Duterte is one of the more than 700 leaders from business, government, civil society and media set to participate in the forum that will “focus on how the region can harness the potential of a young demographic, as well as the transformative impact of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, to foster inclusive economic growth.”
The WEF on ASEAN this year bears the theme, ‘Youth, Technology and Growth: Securing ASEAN’s Digital and Demographic Dividends.’ RTVM / MCAG
