CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao – The Task Force “Kutawato” was formally launched yesterday (APRIL 25) at 8 o’clock in the morning at the People’s Palace in Cotabato City.
The task force is an Ad Hoc unit under the operational control of 603rd Infantry Brigade created to respond to the challenges brought about by the sinister activities of the local terrorists and lawless groups that can hinder the development of the potentially progressive of the city.
The revival of Task Force “Kutawato” will help in the anti-terror and anti-crime campaign of Cotabato City conceptualized as peace and order mechanism jointly initiated by the 6th Infantry Division, city government of Cotabato, and PNP.
The activity was graced by 6ID Commander Major General Arnel B. Dela Vega, Cotabato City Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi, and 603rd Brigade Commander Colonel Jesus B. Sarsagat.
“The task force symbolized intensified activities to promote peace and security in the city guided by good governance and commitment of stakeholders for a peaceful and secured progressive city of Cotabato,” General Dela Vega said.
Col. Sarsagat said that the unit will sustain its commitment and mandate among the people of Cotabato City, that is to ensure a peaceful, secured and progressive environment of the city.
Major General Dela Vega designated Colonel Jose B. Gongona Jr., the concurrent Deputy Brigade Commander of 603 Brigade as the Commander of Task Force Kutawato.
