South Korea issues travel advisory to Bohol

travel advisorySouth Korean Foreign Ministry encouraged its citizens to cancel their flights to Bohol and Northern Mindanao after South Korea released a special travel advisory one week after the military encountered the Abu Sayyaf Group in Bohol.

According to the embassy, the special travel advisory can be compared to a Red Alert or Travel Restriction.

The ministry advised the South Koreans to be alert on the threat of terrorism and added that they are still monitoring the security in Bohol and Northern Mindanao and will prolong the effect of the travel advisory depending on the situation of the provinces.
