NSA suggests Philippine Flag be placed at Benham Rise

esperonNational Security Adviser (NSA) Hermogenes Esperon Jr. stated at a Senate hearing that the government should start making concrete plans for Philippine’s claim on Benham Rise.

According to the NSA, it is the best decision to be clear about the legitimate parts of the country’s property as early as today.

One of the recommended methods suggested is to place the Philippine flag to the territorial area to create a big message worldwide.

Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Sonny Angara are in hopes of early discussions regarding the formation of an agency for Benham Rise despite the Senate vacation for the Lenten break.
