Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City — The Armed Forces of the Philippines considers the statement of President Rodrigo Duterte as a challenge in which the latter wants the terrorists to be bombed into ashes despite the fact that hostages are still being held by the terrorists.

Armed Forces of the Philippines Chief of Staff General Eduardo Aῆo clarified that the statement might have been just a sign of frustration due to the President’s eagerness to obliterate terrorism in the country as soon as possible.

Because of the President’s statement, Aῆo said that they will be more eager on their operations and they will use more necessary resources to pulverize terrorists.

AFP Spokesperson Brigadier General Restituto Padilla explained that AFP values every single life of a person.

Furthermore, Aῆo sent out a directive to field commanders to be more careful on executing their operations to avoid casualties. – EPJA
