NBI agent convicted over false DTRs

nbisealQuezon City-  Crizalina Torres, a former Intelligence Agent I of the National Bureau of Investigation, has been convicted by the Regional Trial Court of Manila of six counts of Falsification of Public Documents and was sentenced to imprisonment ranging from two to eight years for each count.
Prosecutors from the Ombudsman presented documents to show that Torres submitted falsified Daily Time Records (DTR) and applications for leave for the period August to January 2011 despite the fact that she did not report to work during the six-month period.
According to Judge Bibiano Colasito of Branch 50, “[Torres] clearly took advantage of her position when she falsified or caused the falsification of her DTRs and applications for leave of absence by imitating the signatures of officers authorized to sign them.”
