CAMP GEN EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Armed Forces of the Philippines is celebrating its 81st Founding Anniversary with the theme: “Conquering Challenges, Harnessing Change.”
The event will be very simple but meaningful and will manifest the AFP’s gratitude to the Filipino people and its readiness to serve with pride as a partner in peace, security, and nation-building.
President and AFP Commander-in-Chief Gen Rodrigo Roa Duterte is the Guest of Hnor and Speakers to be followed by a Parade and Review at the General Headquarters Grandstand at Camp Gen Emilio Aguinaldo, Quezon City.
AFP Chief of Staff Lt Gen Eduardo Ano will lead the main program with an awarding ceremony that will recognize soldiers who accomplished great feats in the various areas of military service. This will include two Outstanding Achievement Medals, One Distinguished Conduct Star, and two Gold Corss Medals, among others.
“We dedicate our efforts today to the Filipino people we have sworn to serve and protect, and this we have done each year with dedication and pride, as it is a fact that only with their unyielding support that we as an institution came to where we are now,” Lt Gen Ano added.
