CAMP GENERAL EMILIO AGUINALDO, Quezon City (DWDD) – The Armed Forces of the Philippines will hold the annual National ROTC Summit this year to be graced by President Rodrigo Duterte represented by Secretary of National Defense, Honourable Delfin N. Lorenzana.
The Guest of Honor and Keynote Speakers were expected to lit the torch of valour and instil patriotism in the young ROTC cadets coming from all over the country convening at the GHQ Grandstand and Tejeros Hall, AFPCOC, both in CGEA, Quezon City on 10 December 2016.
The annual summit will also showcase the ROTC cadets’ prowess through capability demonstrations on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Response, silent drills and small unit tactics from different Collegiate ROTC units. The office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, OJ9 is expecting an estimated 600 attendees composed of ROTC Cadets, School Administrators, school commandants and other stakeholders from the civilian sector. Furthermore, key personalities were invited to deliver insights and motivate students in contributing development to the program.
The office of the Deputy CHIEF OF Staff for Reservist and Retiree Affairs, OJ9 spearheads and planned the program as it intends to support the President’s marching order to bring back Mandatory ROTC inn instilling patriotism.
