CAMP GUILLERMO NAKAR, Lucena City (DWDD) – A total of 249 military personnel and civilian employees of Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM) went through a surprise drug-testing earlier today December 6, 2016 resulting to zero-user or a drug-free Camp Guillermo Nakar.
The random drug test headed by Lieutenant General Ferdinand F Quidilla AFP, Commander, SOLCOM was done immediately after the physical fitness of our personnel as part of the continuing effort of the AFP to eliminate personnel who are involve on illegal drugs and to support the campaign of the PNP on counterdrugs operations.
Lieutenant General Quidilla wanted to ensure that the headquarters of SoLCom is a drug free unit and camp. He also undergo the drug test to set an example to the Pangkat ng Magigiting personnel that we should not get involve ourselves on drugs because we are one with the PNP to crackdown high drug-risk syndicates to protect the Filipino people and the nation.
The AFP has already recorded a total of 44 military personnel found positive on drugs in the first 100 days of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte campaign against illegal drugs and they are already undergoing the proper disposition of their case in accordance with our military justice system.
