FMRF Conducts Info Drive on Anti-Illegal Drug Campaign

fleet1Sangley Point, Cavite City- The Philippine Navy through the Fleet-Marine Ready Force (FMRF) spearheaded the conduct of info drive on Anti-Illegal Drug to four hundred (400) High School students of Sangley Point National High School, Cavite City on November 10, 2016. This activity is in partnership with the City Government of Cavite, Cavite City Police Station, Department of Education and Cavite Naval Hospital.

The conduct of the activity is in support to President Rodrigo R Duterte’s campaign against illegal drugs. The target audiences for this activity are grades 10, 11 and 12 whose age ranges from 16-18 years old.
Moreover, the said event forms part of the Pre-Anniversary activities of FMRF for its 52 years of prompt and sustained service to the Filipino Nation.

The activity started at 9 a.m with the remarks of Sangley Point National High School Principal, Mrs. Bernadita H Bencito who expresses her utmost gratitude to the participants and organizers of this noble event particularly the FMRF.

After which, a lecture proper was then conducted by the personnel of Cavite Naval Hospital, followed by Cavite Police Station and City Government of Cavite tackling all about the negative effects and the fatal consequences of illegal drugs to the physical and mental health of a person. fleet2

In closing, Navy Captain Albert A Mogol PN(GSC) delivered his message emphasizing the menace of illegal drugs especially to the students who were most vulnerable to this society problem.

As another manifestation of the spirit of Bayanihan between the Fleet-Marine Ready Force and its stakeholders within its area of operation, the conduct of Info Drive was able to raise awareness of the youth on the serious issues confronting our society caused by illegal drugs. The FMRF leadership will continue to conduct similar activities intended to secure the future of our children.
